Thrive Personnel Ltd are recruiting a Sewing Machinist on behalf of a leading furniture manufacturer dedicated to crafting high-quality, stylish furniture.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Sewing Machinist to operate and maintain industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality furniture upholstery. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of sewing techniques, fabrics, and patterns, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing excellent work.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate industrial sewing machines to sew upholstery for furniture products.
  • Read and interpret patterns and instructions to accurately cut and sew fabric.
  • Select appropriate threads, needles, and machine settings for different fabrics and sewing operations.
  • Monitor machine operation to detect problems such as defective stitching, breaks in thread, or machine malfunctions.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating.
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and production deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:
