I am currently looking for a Remediation Technician to join my client's Remediation & Construction Support division. The successful candidate will be primarily involved in the supervision of remediation and earthworks projects, acting as a full‑time Resident Engineer where required. My client is a successful consultancy operation across the North of England and they are looking to strengthen their team due to the business moving in a positive direction. This is a part‑time opportunity and typically you will work 2‑3 days per week. It would most likely suit candidates at the beginning of their career or those looking to wind down from a full‑time role later in their career.

On a typical day you can expect to be involved with:

  • Collecting surface water samples, including use of field monitoring equipment.
  • Ground water level monitoring, including use of field monitor equipment.
  • Undertaking validation of gas protection measures, including preparing validation certificates.
  • Undertaking soil cover validation and stockpile sampling, including preparation of validation certificates.
  • Borehole decommissioning.
  • Monitoring of soakaway testing.

You will usually be working on site - most of my client's sites are in the Yorkshire region. The role will definitely suit someone who likes to work outdoors. You will also need to be proficient on MS Word and Outlook. Along with your annual salary there will be a bi‑annual bonus scheme that usually comes in at around 10‑15% of salary. Any training needed to be successful in the role will be provided.
