Are you a passionate Personal Advisor looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for a Personal Advisor to work in Children Leaving Care Service based in The Chichester area.

Pay Rates: £18.84 - £23.92 per hour Umbrella Rate

Information the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Leaving Care Service within Corporate Parenting Service. The Leaving Care Service supports over 600 care experienced young people each year, working with those aged up to 25 in some cases, as they transition from care into independent adulthood. The service plays a vital role in helping young people develop the skills, confidence and resilience needed to build positive futures. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work from home when not undertaking office-based tasks or face-to-face visits. However, regular in-person visits with young people are an essential part of the role and must be carried out in person.

As a Personal Advisor, you will work directly with young people leaving care, supporting them to identify and achieve their goals around education, employment, housing, health, and independent living. You will act as a key professional in their lives, providing guidance, advocacy and practical support. This role is central to ensuring young people are supported safely and appropriately, including undertaking assessments of need, managing risk, and leading on safety planning where required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with care experienced young people
  • Support transitions from care into independent living
  • Complete assessments of need and develop pathway plans
  • Support education, employment and training opportunities
  • Provide guidance on housing, finances, health and wellbeing
  • Identify and manage risk, including safeguarding concerns
  • Lead and contribute to safety planning where required
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with young people
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies and professionals
  • Promote independence, resilience and positive outcomes

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people as a Personal Advisor or within Children’s Social Care
  • Experience supporting vulnerable young people or care leavers
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk assessment and care planning
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively
  • Full UK driving licence (travel across the region is required)
  • Willingness to undertake travel as part of the role
