Part-Time Bookkeeper – Retail / Consumer Goods industry (part‑time, 4/5 days per week with reduced hours). Permanent position based in Waterloo, London. Hybrid – 1 day working from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable (AP): Process supplier invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely payments; maintain supplier records and resolve discrepancies promptly; manage payment runs and monitor outstanding payables.
- Accounts Receivable (AR): Generate and issue customer invoices in line with trading terms; monitor debtor balances, chase overdue payments, maintain a clean AR ledger; reconcile customer accounts and support credit control activity.
- Multicurrency & Reconciliations: Process transactions across multiple currencies; maintain accurate FX records; perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations across several accounts; assist with month‑end processes, including accruals and prepayments.
- Profit & Loss (P&L): Support preparation of monthly P&L reports; ensure accurate allocation of costs and revenues; provide variance analysis and assist with management reporting.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper within consumer goods, retail, or e‑commerce environments.
- Strong understanding of AP, AR, and general bookkeeping principles.
- Confident handling multicurrency transactions and reconciliations.
- Experience with Xero accounting system.
