Salary: £60,000. 3 days per week in the office, hybrid working.

Responsibilities

  • Own month-end balance sheet, ensuring all reconciliations are completed accurately and on time, with balances fully understood and controlled.
  • Deliver insightful variance and trend analysis by site.
  • Post key journals including accruals, prepayments, accrued and deferred income.
  • Provide high-quality information and performance analysis to support decision-making at a local level.
  • Lead and develop a team of trainee accountants, coaching them to strengthen technical skills and progress confidently.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Accountant or QBE.
  • Good team player, able to work with stakeholders at different levels.
  • Experience managing a small team is preferable.
  • Experience working with retail clients.
  • Ideal for first-time movers from practice; current senior managers who are practice-trained are appropriate.
