Responsibilities
- Own month‑end balance sheet, ensuring all reconciliations are completed accurately and on time, with balances fully understood and controlled.
- Deliver insightful variance and trend analysis by site.
- Post key journals including accruals, prepayments, accrued and deferred income.
- Provide high‑quality information and performance analysis to support decision‑making at a local level.
- Lead and develop a team of trainee accountants, coaching them to strengthen technical skills and progress confidently.
Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant or QBE.
- Good team player, able to work with stakeholders at different levels.
- Experience managing a small team is preferable.
- Experience working with retail clients.
- Ideal for first‑time movers from practice; current senior managers who are practice‑trained are appropriate.
