Introduction: ES Recruit are currently recruiting for an Assembly Operative to join our client's Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and motivated individual with assembly or manufacturing experience to join a well-established engineering environment offering long-term stability and development opportunities.
The Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for re-assembling doors and associated products using supplied components and materials, ensuring all finished products meet required quality standards and are ready for customer delivery.
- Re-assemble doors and products to engineering drawings using stock parts and materials
- Fit custom components and insulation materials using hand tools and associated equipment
- Finish products to the required quality standards for final delivery
- Complete product documentation in line with project requirements
- Support manual handling activities where required
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Report any risks, hazards, or quality concerns to supervisors
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Experience using hand tools and measuring equipment
- Ability to follow assembly drawings and fitting instructions
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Good understanding of health & safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
- Previous experience within steel door manufacturing or a similar environment
- Knowledge of door hardware and locking systems
- Understanding of continuous improvement principles
- FLT licence advantageous
