We are currently recruiting for a Marine Assistant to join a well-established and growing organisation within the maritime sector. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within port and marine operations. The successful candidate will support the safe and efficient management of marine activity within harbour limits, working as part of a professional Marine Services team. The role operates on a 12-hour night shift rota, including weekends and public holidays, averaging approximately 2 shifts per week as part of a job share arrangement.

Duties will include:

  • Supporting the safe coordination of vessel and harbour operations
  • Maintaining effective communication with port users and marine personnel
  • Monitoring marine activity within harbour limits
  • Assisting with operational and emergency response requirements where necessary
  • Providing additional support to the wider operations team during quieter crewing periods

Previous experience within marine navigation, port operations, shipping, offshore, or a similar maritime environment would be advantageous. However, candidates from associated backgrounds with transferable skills are encouraged to apply, as full training will be provided. There is also the opportunity to increase earnings through additional overtime covering holidays and sickness within the rota.
