Are you an experienced engineer with a background in power generation, heavy industrial equipment, gas generators, diesel engines or similar? Do you want to work at the forefront of the UK's energy transition, supporting critical infrastructure that keeps the grid stable, while also being trained on a variety of renewable technology?

In this role, you will be responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of flexible power generation assets. You will focus on maximising plant performance, responding to faults, and ensuring all equipment is operating efficiently and in line with strict safety standards.

The Role:
  • Operating and maintaining flexible generation plant across multiple sites
  • Responding to faults and breakdowns to minimise downtime
  • Monitoring performance and improving plant efficiency and availability
  • Completing site reporting, maintenance records, and system updates
  • Supervising contractors and supporting commissioning of new assets
  • Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and operational procedures
The Person:
  • Experience working with gas generators or similar power generation equipment
  • Strong maintenance, fault-finding, and troubleshooting skills
  • Background in energy, utilities, or industrial environments
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple sites
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence

The salary advertised is the bracket available for this position. The actual salary paid will be dependent on your level of experience, qualifications and skill set and will be decided by our client, the employer.
