The Role

ARC is recruiting professional HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to join our busy operations in Milton Keynes. Given the city's position as a premier logistics hub, we have consistent, high-quality work available with several well-established clients. This role is perfect for a driver who enjoys a busy day, navigating the regional road networks and delivering a variety of goods. Most assignments involve palletised multi-drop deliveries or general haulage, ensuring that goods reach their destination safely and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating an HGV Class 2 vehicle safely and professionally.
  • Completing daily multi-drop deliveries and collections (typically 8 - 12 stops).
  • Using tail-lifts and manual handling equipment (pallet trucks/trolleys) where required.
  • Performing thorough daily vehicle walk-around checks and reporting any defects.
  • Accurate completion of delivery paperwork and digital tachograph records.
  • Providing excellent customer service as the face of the company.

Candidate Requirements

  • Licence: Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
  • Credentials: Current CPC and Digital Tachograph cards.
  • Experience: Previous commercial driving experience is preferred, though we welcome reliable drivers of all experience levels.
  • Record: No more than 9 penalty points (no DR or IN codes) for insurance purposes.
  • Reliability: A punctual, hard-working approach with a commitment to road safety.
