12-month temporary contract

£14.77 per hour

Hours of work: Monday - Friday 09.00 - 17.00 (30 minute lunch break)

About the Role:

We are recruiting on behalf of a well established organisation that places customers at the heart of everything it does. As a Customer Operations Specialist, you will play an important role in delivering excellent customer service while supporting the smooth day to day running of contact centre operations. This is a fast moving and varied position where every day brings new challenges and opportunities. It offers a great chance to build valuable skills, gain industry experience, and make a meaningful contribution within a customer focused environment. Although the role is initially temporary, it can provide a strong pathway into longer term career opportunities within the wider business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responding to customer enquiries via telephone and email
  • Managing escalated queries with professionalism, empathy, and good judgement
  • Supporting vulnerable customers with patience and care
  • Working closely with colleagues to achieve first contact resolution whenever possible
  • Maintaining a customer focused approach while meeting operational objectives
  • Ensuring all customer interactions remain compliant with regulatory and internal standards

About You:

You will be well suited to this role if you:

  • Have experience within a fast paced, customer service environment (financial services experience is beneficial but not essential)
  • Remain calm and resilient in challenging situations
  • Are adaptable and willing to support different areas when required
  • Communicate confidently and effectively with both customers and colleagues

  • Are passionate about delivering positive customer outcomes and high quality service

The role requires adherence to all relevant regulatory and compliance requirements, including:

  • FCA regulations
  • Data Protection requirements
  • Anti Money Laundering policies
  • Internal codes of conduct and operational procedures
  • Anti Bribery and Corruption policies

Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
