Role: Trade Counter Assistant / Driver

Hours: 44 per week – Permanent role, 7am – 4:30pm Monday–Friday, 8am – 12pm Saturday rota.

Base Salary: £29,080.48 per year. Bonus/OTE: Realistic total earning potential of up to £32,680.48 per year.

Location: Site Based.

Work/Life Balance: Christmas shutdown period. A few Saturdays on a rota basis. No branch opening on Sundays. Branches close at 4:30pm during the week. FREE Healthcare plan for all employees. Responsibilities:

  • Hands‑on trade counter operations with the Branch Manager and Supervisor.
  • Achieve trade counter sales targets while communicating product knowledge confidently.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to new and existing customers.
  • Picking, loading and delivering products to customers using Eurocell’s 3.5 tonne flatbed trucks and LWB vans.
  • Route planning, safe driving and maintaining company vehicle cleanliness.
  • Support the Branch Manager with task activities on time and in full.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain branch standards – warehouse/stock management, front‑of‑house cleanliness, point of sale.
  • Assist with branch operations and support colleagues as required.
  • Support delivery of sales targets while building positive customer relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Passion and energy to deliver excellent customer service and meet business targets.
  • Customer‑focused, confident, and proactive engagement with potential customers.
  • Commercial mindset to drive sales and maximise margins while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Good organisational skills, ability to prioritise and use initiative.
  • Confident IT user – experience with MS Office and industry software such as SAP.
  • Full and valid driving licence is essential; a FLT licence is an advantage.
  • Previous branch stock‑take experience is an advantage.
  • Comfortable working in a small team or independently.
  • Experience in a trade / builders merchant / retail, glazing or uPVC environment is an advantage.
