The predicted salary is between 26700 - 26700 £ per year.

Location: Leigh (WN7 3XB)

Salary: £12.88 (Days), £14.49 (Afternoons), £14.89 (Nights)

Shifts: Monday- Friday (Days) 6am- 8am start, (Afternoon) 1pm- 3pm start, (Nights) 10pm- 2am start. All shifts are 9 hours.

Contract Type: Temp- perm

Our client is the world's largest pure-play contract logistics provider. They operate as the supply chain backbone for major global brands, managing everything from advanced warehousing and e-commerce fulfilment to reverse logistics, freight transportation, and last-mile delivery.

You will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate movement of goods within a busy logistics environment. The role involves operating counterbalance forklifts, supporting warehouse operations, and maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and productivity.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate FLT equipment (counterbalance) to load, unload, move, and stack goods.
  • Load and unload vehicles following safe working practices.
  • Follow site safety rules, PPE requirements, and manual handling guidelines.
  • Work closely with supervisors, drivers, and colleagues to meet operational targets.
  • Prepare orders using handheld scanners.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and well organised storage areas.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Valid FLT Counterbalance Licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT, or equivalent).
  • Warehouse Experience in a logistics, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
  • Manual Handling capability and understanding of safe lifting techniques.
  • Use of Scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Communication Skills for working effectively within a team.
  • Experience working within a fast paced logistics environment.
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic.

This role will be 60/70% FLT work. Drug and alcohol tests will be conducted at random. Canteen on site. Free tea and coffee. 1 hour lunch break (unpaid).
