This role focuses on spraying timber doors and frames to a high standard, using water-based and solvent-based coating systems while maintaining consistency, accuracy, and safe work practices.

Key Responsibility
  • Mix and apply water-based coatings, including paints, stains, primers, and clear finishes, in accordance with job specifications.
  • Set up and operate spray equipment such as HVLP, air-assisted, and airless spray systems.
  • Ensure uniform colour, coverage, and finish quality across all completed products.
  • Examine finished work for defects including runs, dry spray, or colour variation.
  • Complete touch-ups and corrective rework as required to meet quality standards.
  • Clean, service, and store spray equipment correctly, with attention to water-based coating requirements.
  • Follow all workplace health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
  • Keep the spray booth and finishing area clean, tidy, and well maintained.
  • Achieve production targets while consistently meeting quality expectations.
  • Prepare timber doors and frames by sanding, filling, cleaning, and masking surfaces prior to spraying.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven experience working as a timber or wood sprayer (essential).
  • Hands-on experience applying water-based paint and coating systems (essential).
  • Trade qualification or completed apprenticeship in wood finishing or a related field (desirable).
