Long Term Futures is seeking a resilient and dedicated Behaviour Specialist to work within a secondary school in Birmingham, supporting pupils across KS3 and KS4 with SEMH needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference to young people who require additional behavioural and emotional support. About the Role
- Supporting students with SEMH needs both in and out of the classroom.
- Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour in line with school policies.
- Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils to support engagement.
- Providing 1:1 and small group interventions focused on behaviour and emotional regulation.
- Supporting pupils to reintegrate into lessons following periods of dysregulation.
- Monitoring behaviour and progress, providing feedback to staff and parents where required.
- Promoting positive behaviour, resilience, and social development.
- Working collaboratively with staff to implement behaviour support strategies.

- Experience working with secondary-aged pupils with SEMH needs.
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate effectively.
- Calm, patient, and resilient when faced with challenging situations.
