We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Manufacturing Technician II to join our team in Birmingham (B15). In this role, you will play a vital part in producing world‑leading diagnostic products that drive global medical progress. This is a full‑time, onsite position offering a regular daytime schedule and the opportunity to work within a high‑standard manufacturing environment.

Role Details

  • Location: Birmingham
  • Pay Rate: £13.53 per hour (approx. £28,142 per annum)
  • Contract: 6 Months (Full‑Time)
  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 07:00 – 15:30 (40 hours per week)
  • Overtime: Available

Key Responsibilities

  • Production: Independently manage your workload against the daily manufacturing plan.
  • Inventory: Manage and transact materials to ensure production lines remain active.
  • Maintenance: Perform scheduled activities and basic upkeep for designated equipment and areas.
  • Quality: Take personal responsibility for “Right First Time” delivery to maintain high compliance standards.
  • Improvement: Proactively identify ways to improve efficiency and processes.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, production, or laboratory setting.
  • Mindset: A strong focus on quality and compliance in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Technical Skills: Competence with machinery and proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel).
  • Soft Skills: Ability to follow complex instructions, multi‑task, and work independently under pressure.
  • Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment is highly desirable.
