The Role

As the Commercial Manager, you will take responsibility for overseeing commercial operations across complex PFI contracts, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and strong financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing month-end commercial and financial processes
  • Overseeing complex contracts with a strong focus on compliance and contractual scrutiny
  • Working closely with operational and finance teams to support project delivery
  • Managing commercial risk, penalties, and performance measures across contracts
  • Supporting dynamic decision-making within a fast-paced commercial environment
  • Ensuring accurate reporting and effective contract administration
  • Contributing to the successful delivery of PP1 & PP2 PFI projects

About You

To succeed as a Commercial Manager, you will need strong commercial awareness, excellent contract management skills, and the ability to thrive under pressure.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing complex contracts within facilities management, PFI, construction, or commercial environments
  • Strong understanding of financial management and month-end processes
  • Legal or Quantity Surveying qualifications
  • Experience dealing with contract scrutiny, compliance, and performance-related penalties
  • A proactive, dynamic, and solutions-focused approach
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced commercial setting

Experience with PFI contracts and education-sector projects would be highly advantageous.
