An established manufacturing company based in Birmingham requires a CNC turner skilled machinist.
Duties:
- Programming, operating and setting CNC turning machines with Mazatrol, Siemens and G code control systems.
- Working from engineering drawings.
- Using measurement/inspection equipment including verniers, bore gauges, micrometres etc.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years CNC programming experience.
- Competent on all aspects of setting tools, including understanding cutting speeds and feeds, boring, drilling, threading.
- Understanding and the ability to work from engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM preferable.
Hours: 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30am to 12.30pm Friday.
This is a permanent position that starts immediately.
