Smart Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and adaptable Maths Teacher to join a secondary SEMH school in Bilston on a temp-to-perm basis. About the Role

As a Maths Teacher, you will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to secondary-aged pupils with SEMH needs, helping to build confidence, resilience, and a positive attitude towards learning. You will work closely with support staff and pastoral teams to create a structured and nurturing classroom environment where students feel supported and motivated to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Differentiating learning to meet individual pupil needs
  • Support students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and pastoral staff
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Maths at secondary level
