Class 1 Driver Opportunity - Summer Peak Contract
Location: Biggleswade, Bedfordshire
Contract Length: 28th June - 12th September
Working Pattern: Wednesday to Saturday; optional extra shifts Sunday or Monday during peak periods
Start Times: Between 04:00 and 06:00
Minimum 8 hours guaranteed per shift
Pay Rates:
- Weekdays (03:00 - 19:00): £19.06 per hour
- Saturday (03:00 - 19:00): £21.95 per hour

Your Day‑to‑Day Duties:
- Deliver chilled, frozen, and ambient products to local Co‑op stores
- Complete 3-6 drops per shift depending on route
- Carry out vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Ensure temperature and load security procedures are followed
- Return to depot for reloads when required
- Maintain compliance with tachograph and Drivers' Hours regulations
- Operate both Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles where needed
What We Need From You:
Essential:
- Minimum 12 months' UK Class 1 driving experience
- Valid UK Category C E licence
- Driver CPC qualification card
- Digital Tachograph card
Ideal Driver Qualities:
- Confident reversing and manoeuvring skills
- Comfortable with urban and roadside deliveries
- Flexible attitude and team‑focused approach

Licence Criteria:
- Up to 6 minor penalty points accepted
