We are working with a well-established and fast-growing developer to recruit an experienced Technical Coordinator to join their Birmingham-based team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual to play a key role in the delivery of residential developments, coordinating technical design and ensuring projects progress smoothly from planning through to construction.
Role
As a Technical Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all technical aspects of multiple residential projects. You’ll work closely with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure designs are compliant, practical, and delivered on programme.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate external consultants including architects, structural engineers, and M&E designers
- Manage the design process from planning through to construction and completion
- Review and approve technical drawings and specifications
- Ensure compliance with building regulations, planning conditions, and industry standards
- Resolve design and technical issues throughout the project lifecycle
- Liaise with site teams to ensure smooth delivery and buildability
- Monitor and manage technical budgets and programme milestones
- Support value engineering and cost-effective design solutions
About you
- Experience in a Technical Coordinator or similar role within residential development or housebuilding
- Strong understanding of construction methods and building regulations
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams
- Good knowledge of UK planning and approval processes
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
