We are recruiting a reliable and hardworking Machine Operative to join a busy manufacturing site based in Beverley. This is an excellent opportunity offering a great pay rate of 13.16ph with the potential to secure a permanent position.

Shift Pattern / Working Hours

Monday to Thursday rotating shifts - 5am-2pm / 1:45pm-10:45pm

Start date / Duration

The Machine Operative role will start with immediate effect offering ongoing, long-term work. For the right candidate this opportunity could become permanent after 12 weeks.

Job Description

As a Machine Operative, you will be responsible for operating production machinery safely and efficiently, ensuring production targets and quality standards are met. Your duties will include:

  • Operating production machinery - running, monitoring and controlling machines
  • Monitoring machines and carrying out basic checks during operation
  • Ensuring products are manufactured to specification and quality standards
  • Following all health & safety and quality control procedures
  • Preparing and feeding raw materials into machines according to production requirements
  • Maintaining packing of products as well as working with machines
  • Reporting any machine faults or quality issues to supervisors

The Successful Candidate

To be considered for the position of Machine Operative you must have:

  • Previous experience with a manufacturing or production environment
  • Experience operating machinery
  • Good awareness of health & safety procedures
  • Ability to work rotational shifts
  • Good attention to detail and ability to work at pace
  • A reliable, punctual and committed approach to work
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
