Your new team, HAYS Construction and Property, is partnering with a prominent name in the local built environment sector to recruit a Project Manager. This well-established Belfast-based practice operates across a broad range of project types and scales throughout Northern Ireland, the wider UK and Ireland. Known for its collaborative, quality‑driven approach and long‑standing client relationships, the organisation has a steady pipeline of work across public and private sector schemes.

Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the successful delivery of projects from inception through to completion.

Responsibilities

As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the management and coordination of projects across all stages, acting as the key point of contact between clients, consultants, and contractors. You will oversee programme, cost, risk, and quality, ensuring projects are delivered in line with client expectations, contractual requirements and regulatory standards. The role will involve leading consultant teams, managing project governance, coordinating information flow, and monitoring progress on site. You will contribute to strategic decision making, support junior team members where required, and take ownership of project delivery outcomes. Depending on experience, the role offers scope to manage multiple projects concurrently and play a key role in the ongoing growth of the team.

Qualifications

You will be an experienced Project Manager with a background in the built environment, ideally gained within a consultancy or professional practice setting. You should be comfortable working across multiple stages, managing programmes, budgets, and consultant teams, and coordinating technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to manage your own workload are essential. Experience delivering projects within the UK or Ireland is required, along with a good understanding of procurement processes, contracts, and project governance.
