Are you a compassionate and patient individual with experience supporting young people with Autism or ADHD? Tradewind is currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in South Wirral, starting 3rd November and running until the end of term (Christmas).
About the Role: This part-time Teaching Assistant position is ideal for someone passionate about supporting students with additional needs. You will work closely with the SENCO and classroom teachers to provide tailored one-to-one and small-group support for students with Autism and ADHD, helping them to engage positively in lessons and make good progress.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing one-to-one and small-group support for students with Autism and ADHD
- Assisting teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons
- Supporting students with emotional regulation, focus, and classroom participation
- Implementing strategies to promote positive behaviour and learning
- Liaising with teachers, parents, and the SEN team to monitor progress
- Contributing to a positive, nurturing classroom environment
- Previous experience supporting students with Autism and/or ADHD (essential)
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Good communication skills and ability to build positive relationships
- Experience within a secondary school setting (preferred but not essential)
- A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
- Competitive pay rates, paid weekly via PAYE
