Solderer position in Basildon, Essex. Salary negotiable depending on experience. Monday - Friday / 37 hours per week. Free parking, spacious offices & employee facilities. Complimentary fruit, hot and cold drinks, and breakfast provisions.
The Position
You will be part of the Production team in the factory in Basildon, primarily working in Second Stage (Through Hole soldering and SMT re-work) in a modern working environment.
Main responsibilities
- Hand soldering conventional components, with some re-work required for both conventional and SMT components.
- Pre-forming components.
- Reading work packs to determine product instructions and specifications.
- Inspecting finished work to ensure it meets quality standards and resolving defects as necessary.
- Accurate marking & labelling of products.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Skills, knowledge & experience
- Experience and knowledge of soldering to IPC class 2 is essential; class 3 is advantageous.
- Experience of working within production in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrates good manual dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination.
- Methodical in task completion with good attention to detail.
- Able to work individually or within a team.
- Able to follow verbal and written work instructions.
- Flexible and proactive approach to work.
- Have suitable fitness levels for standing, moving and manual handling, and good eyesight for handling colour-coded work packs.
