We are seeking a reliable and professional HGV Class 2 Removal Driver to join our clients removals team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely driving and operating Class 2 removal vehicles while assisting with residential and commercial removals. This is a customer-facing role that requires excellent driving standards, physical fitness, teamwork, and a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles in accordance with UK road traffic laws and company procedures.
  • Carry out residential and commercial removals locally and nationwide.
  • Load and unload furniture, boxes, and specialist items safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure all goods are properly secured and protected during transit.
  • Complete vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
  • Maintain accurate delivery and removal paperwork.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times.
  • Work closely with porters and removal operatives as part of a team.
  • Follow manual handling and health & safety procedures.
  • Keep vehicles clean, organised, and roadworthy.
  • Assist with packing and wrapping items where required.
  • Occasionally work evenings, weekends, or overnight stays depending on business needs.

Essential Requirements

  • Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
  • Valid CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card.
  • Good understanding of UK driving regulations and tachograph rules.
  • Previous experience driving HGV Class 2 vehicles.
  • Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting/manual handling.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional appearance.
  • Ability to work flexible hours when required.
  • No major driving convictions or bans.

Desirable Requirements

  • Previous removals industry experience.
  • Experience with furniture dismantling/reassembly.
  • Forklift or specialist moving equipment experience.
  • Knowledge of London driving routes and restrictions.
