We are recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for their Barnsley office to assist in providing cost and revenue management on major contracts. Responsibilities and duties of the Quantity Surveyor role:
- Contract administration ensuring all contracts are administered correctly in a timely and professional manner.
- Identify, mitigate and manage risk and opportunities. Escalate where appropriate.
- Monitoring and driving the progress of Compensation Events, prepared by the Technical department, to agreement by liaison with the client's representatives.
- Identify, notify and report financial concerns and areas where action is required to the project management team.
- Involve and obtain information from project key personnel in preparation of CVR reporting with the commercial Manager.
- Monitor and record site progress from information provided by the Project Manager.
- Collate the allocation of project manpower and productivity for submission to the client for applications.
- Prepare monthly progress payment applications for traditional applications or against activity schedule and follow up on payments.
Professional qualifications:
- Qualified Quantity Surveyor (Degree, or HNC as a minimum)
- Experienced in M&E Quantity Surveying
- Experience working in NEC contract types.
Personal Skills:
- Motivated and eager to learn
- Self starter who can manage their own workload.
