The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of our market leading client based in the Barnsley area. We are looking for experienced Class 2 Tipper Drivers (working away) to join the team.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00am to 07:00am start times.

Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour PAYE with £25 per night out allowance.

Location: Barnsley, S75

Job Type: Temporary to permanent.

Role:

  • Operate a Class 2 tipper vehicle safely and efficiently.
  • Carry out tipper work, including the transportation and tipping of products such as aggregate, topsoil, etc.
  • Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections.
  • Ensure timely and efficient completion of assigned routes.
  • Will be required to work away from home, with accommodation provided in a paid hotel.

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
  • 2 years experience on Class 2.
  • Minimum 12 months experience on tippers are required.
  • Valid and in-date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
  • No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
  • Full understanding of WTD legislation.
  • Interview will be required (induction and short driving assessment will take place the same day).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A safety-first mindset.
