We are currently looking for Mechanical Fitters to join one of our clients on a contract basis, working on a variety of heavy engineering/engineering construction sites around the UK and Ireland. The client is a market‑leading manufacturer, supplier and installer of specialist rotating equipment to a range of industry sectors including heavy engineering, power generation and petro‑chemical.
Role Overview
The role will include carrying out a range of mechanical fitting duties, such as helping to remove a wide range of equipment, planned and preventative maintenance, and breakdown repairs. Sites are based around the UK.
Responsibilities
- Remove, install, and maintain rotating equipment;
- Carry out planned/preventative maintenance;
- Perform breakdown repairs;
- Participate in slinging and lifting as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experienced Mechanical Fitter, ideally with a proven track record in heavy engineering/engineering construction environments.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Previous experience of mechanical fitting and working away on site.
- Relevant recognised qualification desirable but not essential.
- Experience carrying out slinging and lifting beneficial.
- Current CCNSG Site Safety Passport advantageous.
Compensation & Benefits
