Reed Business Support are supporting a well-established and fast-growing distributor who are looking for a Packer to join their team. This new role has been created to support their increasing shipment volumes and ensure timely and accurate deliveries to their customers.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Work alongside existing packers to manage and execute packing and dispatch tasks efficiently.
  • Support the customer service team and occasionally assist wider members of the admin team.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and report any discrepancies.
  • Handle unpacking and storage of incoming shipments.
  • Pack and dispatch customer purchase orders accurately.
  • Create courier paperwork and manifests.
  • Share the management of purchasing required materials for the warehouse/despatch function.
  • Monitor and log fridge/freezer temperatures to ensure compliance with storage requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • A flexible approach and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work to specific deadlines.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
