Reed Business Support are supporting a well-established and fast-growing distributor who are looking for a Packer to join their team. This new role has been created to support their increasing shipment volumes and ensure timely and accurate deliveries to their customers.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Work alongside existing packers to manage and execute packing and dispatch tasks efficiently.
- Support the customer service team and occasionally assist wider members of the admin team.
- Conduct regular stock checks and report any discrepancies.
- Handle unpacking and storage of incoming shipments.
- Pack and dispatch customer purchase orders accurately.
- Create courier paperwork and manifests.
- Share the management of purchasing required materials for the warehouse/despatch function.
- Monitor and log fridge/freezer temperatures to ensure compliance with storage requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- A flexible approach and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work to specific deadlines.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
