An opportunity has arisen for an experienced BMS Project Manager to join a well‑established and fast‑growing organisation operating as a Principal Contractor within the hyperscale data centre sector, delivering large‑scale projects across the UK, Ireland and Europe. The business specialises in the design, manufacture and delivery of offsite prefabricated MEP and BMS solutions, with a strong and secured pipeline of data centre projects delivered under long‑term framework agreements.

The BMS Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the installation, testing, commissioning and handover of Building Management Systems on hyperscale data centre projects, delivered by the business in its role as Principal Contractor. The role covers the full BMS lifecycle, primarily within offsite manufacturing and assembly facilities, ensuring systems are fully integrated, tested, compliant and ready for deployment to live data centre environments. You will also play a key role in quality management, addressing non‑conformances and working closely with the Quality Manager to ensure corrective actions are implemented and closed out effectively. The role is primarily office‑based with no regular travel currently required. Occasional visits to site may be necessary if issues arise, and there may be a requirement to attend site during commissioning for short periods, typically up to one week, subject to project needs.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Relevant qualification in Electrical, Building Services or Controls Engineering (NVQ Level 3 / HNC or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of BMS and controls integration
  • Experience with electrical containment, cabling and terminations
  • Understanding of BMS commissioning processes (FAT, SAT, point‑to‑point testing)
  • Familiar with HSEQ requirements, RAMS and safe systems of work

Desirable:

  • Electrical installation or controls qualification
  • 18th Edition Inspection & Testing (2391 or equivalent)
  • HNC/HND in Building Services Engineering
  • SSSTS or SMSTS
