On behalf of our client, we are seeking a professional and reliable Class 1 Driver to deliver our products nationwide. Manual handling will be required. All vehicles are curtain siders and are fitted with tail lifts, supplying retail, contract and private customers.
Basic hours are 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday (no weekend work). 40 hours basic at a rate of £14.06 per hour (currently under review). Overtime paid at time + one half after 42 hours. Average overtime 8 - 10 hours per week. Start times vary depending upon destination, early starts required (as early as 4am) a few times per week. Nights out will be required and will be paid at £38.50 per night, all parking paid for. Delivery bonus averaging between £100 and £200 per month. Driver CPC paid for. PPE and uniform is provided. Own vehicle allocated (no vehicle sharing). Training provided.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (cat C & E) licence
- Valid CPC and Tachograph card
- Previous Class 1 Driving experience is essential
- No more than 6 points on licence
- Good communication and timekeeping
- Reliable with a positive attitude
