About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated AV Installation Engineer with a couple of years' hands-on experience to join our growing team. You will be responsible for installing, configuring and commissioning a wide range of audio-visual systems across commercial environments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a supportive and fast-paced AV environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission AV systems including:
- Video conferencing systems
- Display screens and projectors
- Audio systems and speakers
- Control systems and cabling infrastructure
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams
- Ensure installations are completed to a high standard and in line with project timelines
- Perform system testing, fault-finding and troubleshooting
- Work both independently and as part of a wider installation team
- Liaise with project managers, clients and other trades on site
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations at all times
- Provide basic user training and handover documentation where required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in AV installation or a related field
- Strong understanding of AV systems, components and signal flow
- Experience with structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6 termination, rack building etc.)
- Ability to read and follow technical documentation
- Good problem-solving and fault-finding skills
- Full UK driving licence (if role involves travel)
- CSCS/ECS card (preferred)
Desirable Skills
- Experience with brands such as Crestron, Extron, AMX, Poly, Cisco etc.
- Knowledge of basic networking (IP addressing, switching concepts)
- Experience in corporate/commercial installation environments
