Overview

Van Driver / Stores Operative – Location: Redditch

  • Pay: £13.00 - £13.50 per hour
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
  • Contract: Temporary to Permanent

ASC Connections are currently recruiting for a Van Driver / Stores Operative on behalf of our client based in Redditch. This is a varied, hands-on position combining driving responsibilities with warehouse and stores duties.

Responsibilities

  • Driving duties: drive both a larger commercial vehicle and a standard van depending on delivery requirements
  • Carry out local deliveries and collections within the Redditch area, with most journeys being short distance
  • Complete occasional medium-distance trips (typically around a 3-hour round trip)
  • Secure loads safely using ratchet straps
  • Transport products between sites, suppliers, and customers
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any faults
  • Forklift & Warehouse duties: Load and unload deliveries and collections safely
  • Carry out daily forklift checks and report any defects
  • Additional duties (when not driving): Pack finished goods onto pallets to prevent damage in transit
  • Kit components ready for assembly
  • Book in goods accurately within the stores system

Requirements

  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • Previous van driving experience
  • Good attention to detail and a flexible, proactive approach
