Hours: 4 days per week Mon - Thurs, 37 hours

Introduction

ES Recruit are currently recruiting for an Assembly Operative to join our client's Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and motivated individual with assembly or manufacturing experience to join a well-established engineering environment offering long-term stability and development opportunities.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for re-assembling doors and associated products using supplied components and materials, ensuring all finished products meet required quality standards and are ready for customer delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Re-assemble doors and products to engineering drawings using stock parts and materials
  • Fit custom components and insulation materials using hand tools and associated equipment
  • Finish products to the required quality standards for final delivery
  • Complete product documentation in line with project requirements
  • Support manual handling activities where required
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
  • Report any risks, hazards, or quality concerns to supervisors

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience using hand tools and measuring equipment
  • Ability to follow assembly drawings and fitting instructions
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Good understanding of health & safety procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

  • Previous experience within steel door manufacturing or a similar environment
  • Knowledge of door hardware and locking systems
  • Understanding of continuous improvement principles
  • FLT licence advantageous
