We are looking for a proactive, hands-on Area Neighbourhood Caretaker to take pride in our local communities. You won’t just be working on the ground; you will also be a leader, supervising a team of up to eight manual estate caretakers to ensure our high standards are met across the board.
Working pattern: Mon-Friday, start time 7 am
Location: Birmingham B31
Pay rate: £13.45 per hour
MUST HAVE ADULT BARRED ENHANCED DBS ONLY
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform health and safety daily checks and cleaning of low rise/high rise blocks, litter picking and removal of rubbish/item clearances.
- Conduct regular flytipping checks within the area using the tipper.
- Remove rubbish and cut back on open areas to control vegetation overgrowth.
- Maintain reading and writing skills for recording and reporting information.
- Adhere to time-keeping requirements.
What you’ll need:
- Full driving licence: Essential for driving vans and larger vehicles.
- Practical skills: Ability to undertake minor maintenance and cleaning tasks both indoors and outdoors.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for recording data, reporting issues, and engaging with the public.
- Leadership: Ability to supervise staff and contractors effectively.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM as service needs dictate.
- Hold a valid vehicle driving licence (required).
