Bennett & Game are representing a long-established, multi-disciplinary Top 150 consultancy for their Plymouth office, offering an excellent opportunity for an Architectural Technologist to join a highly technical team delivering some of the South West's most varied and complex schemes. This role would particularly suit a technically focused Architectural Technologist who enjoys the detail side of projects, producing coordinated construction packages, resolving junctions and buildability challenges.

The successful Architectural Technologist will be taking ownership of technical delivery across all RIBA stages. From their Plymouth office, you would gain exposure to a broad portfolio spanning Education, Healthcare, Commercial, Residential, Heritage and Fire-safety-led refurbishment work, alongside major regional projects such as local cladding remediation projects where over 15 million of government-backed remedial works has been secured.

The practice typically looks for Technologists who are confident in Revit and comfortable working within a BIM-led environment. The business is also flexible on level, meaning the role and title can be shaped around the experience of the right individual.

Job Overview

  • Produce and coordinate detailed technical drawing packages
  • Support the technical delivery of a variety of projects
  • Produce and review technical packages of information
  • Coordinate technical information with consultants and contractors
  • Develop compliant, buildable and well-detailed technical solutions
  • Assist with managing drawing packages through planning, technical design and construction stages
  • Ensure projects comply with UK building regulations and industry best practice
  • Work on various Residential, Commercial, Civic, Leisure and Education projects (Typically between the values of 1m to 20m)

Job Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology or a related discipline
  • Several years' experience working within the industry
  • Strong Technical ability and exposure to RIBA Stages 4/5
  • Strong working knowledge of Revit
  • Have an understanding of Planning process and Regulations
  • Ability to manage workload across multiple projects
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Proactive, detail-oriented and technically confident
  • Live within a commutable distance of Plymouth
