AOV Engineer London & M25 (Field-Based) Up to 50,000 + Company Van + Overtime
The Opportunity
We are working with a growing specialist in life safety and smoke ventilation systems, and they are looking for a Fire & Safety Engineer to join their team. This position is heavily focused on AOV, smoke extraction, and pressurisation systems across commercial and residential projects. If you have experience in smoke control systems and want to join a company where your expertise is truly valued, this is a great move.
What You will Be Doing
- Service, maintenance, and fault finding on:
- AOV systems (Automatic Opening Vents)
- Smoke extraction & pressurisation systems
- Fire dampers, fire curtains, and ventilation systems
- Carrying out PPM and reactive works
- Testing systems in line with fire strategy (cause & effect)
- Working on control panels and system diagnostics
- Completing reports and ensuring compliance with regulations
What We are Looking For
- Strong experience with smoke ventilation / AOV systems (essential)
- Background in fire safety, ventilation, or life safety systems
- Experience with systems such as Colt, SE Controls, Velux, Geze, or similar
- Ability to work independently in a field-based role
- Good understanding of compliance and safety standards
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience with fire alarms or emergency lighting
- Knowledge of BS9991 / smoke control regulations
- ECS / CSCS card
