Aligra, recruiting on behalf of our prestigious client, is seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to join their dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

  • Drive HGV Class 2 Refuse Lorry: Operate a HGV Class 2 refuse lorry, ensuring all driving is conducted safely and efficiently in accordance with UK road laws and regulations. Navigate various terrains, including rural and built‑up areas, with care and precision. Maintain a clean and organised vehicle, conducting daily checks to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Assist Loaders: Collaborate with and support loaders during certain rounds to ensure efficient and timely waste collection. Assist in loading and unloading bins, ensuring all health and safety protocols are followed.
  • Route Management: Plan and execute collection routes to optimise efficiency and reduce fuel consumption. Adapt to changing circumstances and re‑route as necessary to meet collection deadlines.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by addressing any queries or issues from the public in a professional manner. Represent the company with a positive attitude, building rapport and maintaining high standards of service.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, reporting any incidents, accidents, or near‑misses immediately. Ensure the safe handling and transportation of waste materials, prioritising safety for yourself, team members, and the public.
  • Additional Duties: Perform any other duties as required by the supervisor to support the team and company operations. Engage in company training programmes and meetings to stay updated on policies and procedures.

Monday to Friday: 06:45 start times (Part time roles available)
