We are recruiting on behalf of an established and successful Ventilation / Compliance specialist, who have a nationwide presence. Due to recently winning new contracts in the Midlands region, they are seeking a hardworking and switched-on Air Hygiene / Fire Damper Engineer to service new client contracts.

As a minimum, candidates will be confident in undertaking testing on fire dampers and cleaning of ventilation systems. It would be a benefit if applicants hold experience of completing remedial works on Fire Dampers. Our client is offering competitive basic salaries and benefits packages.

Consideration will be given to candidates based around: Leicester, Coalville, Rugby, Daventry, Nottingham, Northampton, Coventry, Royal Leamington Spa, Nuneaton, Hinckley, Atherstone, Tamworth, Solihull, Redditch, Bromsgrove, Stratford-upon-Avon, Birmingham, West Bromwich, Dudley, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Derby, Cannock, Burntwood, Lichfield, Rugeley, Stourbridge, Droitwich Spa.

Experience / Qualifications
  • Experience working as an Air Hygiene / Fire Damper Engineer
  • Will hold the Fire Damper and TR19 qualifications
  • Fully conversant in TR19 and BS9999 guidelines
  • Ideally will hold: CSCS, IPAF, PASMA and / or Confined Spaces
  • Flexible to travel in line with company needs
  • Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
  • Strong communicator
The Role
  • Carrying out examinations and testing of fire dampers
  • Conducting some remedial works to fire dampers (including TEK screw removals, plus collar and link changes)
  • Cleans on ventilation systems, AHUs and ductwork
  • Fitting access doors
  • Producing detailed technical reports and schematics
  • Highlighting any technical or compliance issues and making appropriate recommendations for works
  • Adhering to strict safety guidelines
  • Providing clients with project updates and technical advice
  • Leading on projects as required
  • Supporting the training of new engineers
