A leading facilities management provider is looking to recruit an experienced Mobile Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer to join a well-established engineering team covering the NE postcode region. This is a stable, long-term role offering excellent working hours, regular overtime opportunities, and the chance to work across a varied commercial portfolio.
The Role
Working Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, you will be responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across refrigeration, air conditioning, and HVAC systems within commercial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance on refrigeration and AC equipment
- Fault finding, diagnosing, and repairing refrigeration and HVAC systems
- Working on compressors, chillers, commercial refrigeration systems, and associated controls
- Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Repairing or replacing defective components including motors, thermostats, relays, filters, belts, valves, and controls
- Supporting with general building services maintenance including HVAC, mechanical, and fabric tasks
- Ensuring all works are completed in line with health & safety procedures and client expectations
Requirements
To be considered, candidates should have:
- Strong experience within refrigeration, air conditioning, or HVAC maintenance
- Experience delivering reactive and planned maintenance within commercial buildings
- Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience working within FM or building services environments
- Strong understanding of health & safety procedures including RAMS
Qualifications Required
- City & Guilds 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants (or CITB J11 equivalent)
- NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Commercial Refrigeration & AC Systems
- NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Heating & Ventilation
- NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Heating & Ventilation Service & Maintenance
