Morson are recruiting on behalf of BAE Systems for experienced Store Operators to join the Stores Team at their Glascoed site in Usk, Monmouthshire. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment where flexibility, teamwork, and safety are essential.

Shift Pattern

This role operates on a rotating 3-shift pattern consisting of 8-hour shifts:

  • 6:00am - 2:00pm
  • 2:00pm - 10:00pm
  • 10:00pm - 6:00am

Shifts rotate weekly. There is also a requirement to work 12 hours overtime on Sundays, approximately 1 in every 3 weeks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working within a rotating 3-shift operation
  • Identifying, picking, and transporting goods between storage locations and production areas
  • Returning goods to stores and completing SAP transactions accurately
  • Loading and unloading vehicles including vans, lorries, and containers
  • Checking incoming materials and ensuring all documentation is correct prior to booking into SAP
  • Ensuring incoming materials comply with legal and safety requirements
  • Identifying defects or discrepancies in materials and paperwork and raising the appropriate documentation

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing stores or warehouse environment is essential
  • Valid Forklift Truck Licence
  • Willingness to drive Site Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV licence desirable, training provided)
  • Experience using SAP systems (training available)
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office packages
  • Experience working in hazardous environments and understanding licensing limits would be advantageous

Due to the nature of the role, safety is the highest priority. Candidates must be comfortable with manual handling activities and operating within a regulated manufacturing environment.
