Our client Bury council is looking for a Children's Advanced Practitioner to join their Family Safeguarding team.
Main duties include:
- Lead on complex safeguarding cases involving children at risk of harm
- Provide expert advice, guidance, and supervision to social workers
- Carry out advanced assessments and develop robust protection plans
- Work under key legislation such as the Children Act 1989 and Children Act 2004
- Chair or contribute to child protection conferences and strategy meetings
- Liaise with multi-agency partners (police, schools, health services)
- Ensure high-quality practice and compliance with safeguarding procedures
- Support staff development, mentoring, and practice improvement
