We are currently recruiting for an admin assistant to join our client based in Burgess Hill, within an industrial estate.

Working Schedule: Mon to Fri: 9am to 5pm

Main duties include:

  • General office administration
  • Handling incoming calls and enquiries
  • Scanning and sending documents to the correct departments
  • Booking transport and collections
  • Tracking deliveries and transport issues
  • Preparing packing lists and invoices for outgoing goods
  • Ordering materials, stationery, and office supplies
  • Speaking with suppliers and negotiating reasonable prices
  • Keeping holiday, sickness, and personal time records up to date
  • Supporting directors with general tasks
  • Maintaining confidential records
  • Recording new starters and leavers
  • Supporting with general office facilities

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous administration experience
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confidence using Microsoft Excel
  • Basic maths skills, including percentages and cost per unit
  • Good computer skills
  • The ability to work alone and manage their own workload
  • Confidence speaking with internal teams, external contacts, and suppliers
  • A full clean driving licence would be preferred
