Morgan McKinley is working with an SME type business based in Brighton. They are looking for an Accounts Assistant who will carry out everyday transactional accounting, supporting with month-end, accruals, accounts payable invoicing, supplier setup and reconciliations.

Salary: 28-32K

Location: Brighton, East Sussex - hybrid working - 3 days office

Accounts Assistant duties:

  • Processing invoices
  • Preparing the monthly payment run for suppliers
  • Bank account and credit card reconciliations
  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Supporting with month end and audits
  • Balance sheet reconciliations

Skills and experience:

  • Proven experience working in a similar Finance Assistant - Accounts Assistant role within an SME environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good IT skills - MS Excel and accounting systems such as; Xero
