Core Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function and maintaining bookkeeping for corporate entities, ensuring all activities are completed accurately, on time, and to a high standard.
- Prepare and post month-end close and ad-hoc journals for corporate entities and support month-end close activities, including the preparation and review of monthly management reports, and ensure balance sheet control account reconciliations comply with group internal control policies.
- Prepare and process payroll journals for corporate entities and perform month-end payroll balance reconciliations.
- Follow up with department heads to ensure timely invoice approvals, respond promptly to queries, and elevate potential issues.
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations within agreed deadlines and liaise with the Treasury team regarding cash requirements and cash flow forecasting.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve accounting systems, processes, and reconciliation procedures in line with accounting policies, financial regulations, and best practice.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of general accounting experience and double entry knowledge.
- Experience with SUN systems, strong Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders in an effective manner.
- Demonstrates a high level of proficiency in double-entry accounting.
