Our client is a well-established and growing business looking to recruit a proactive and commercially minded Account Manager to join their collaborative team in Stevenage. This role will focus on delivering exceptional customer service, supporting sales growth, and building long-term client relationships within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service and manage a broad customer portfolio
- Build strong relationships with customers and provide ongoing account support
- Manage customer queries, quotations, orders, and complaints through to resolution
- Work closely with external sales teams to provide a seamless customer experience
- Monitor customer orders, stock levels, and delivery schedules to ensure continuity of supply
- Communicate proactively with customers regarding updates, delays, or supply issues
- Support onboarding and implementation of new business accounts
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling products and services
- Support sales growth through outbound calls and account development activities
- Attend customer meetings independently or alongside external sales colleagues
- Analyse account margins and identify opportunities to improve profitability
- Maintain accurate customer records, reporting, and internal systems
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met
Qualifications
- Previous experience within customer service, account management, or sales support
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Commercially aware with a proactive and growth-focused mindset
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to build strong working relationships internally and externally
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Confident using computer systems and Microsoft Office packages
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and team-oriented approach
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high levels of accuracy
