We are currently supporting a well-established Further Education setting in the East London / Essex border area in appointing an enthusiastic and knowledgeable A Level Law Lecturer to join their academic team on a 0.8 FTE basis (approximately 4 days per week) for a 1-year fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Law specialist who can deliver engaging teaching, inspire learners, and support students in achieving excellent academic outcomes.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and high-quality A Level Law lessons
- Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with curriculum requirements
- Monitor learner progress and provide targeted academic support
- Create an inclusive and positive learning environment
- Support students to achieve strong academic outcomes and progression goals
- Work collaboratively with curriculum teams and wider college staff
The Ideal Candidate
- Relevant degree within Law or a related subject area
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent desirable)
- Experience teaching Law at A Level / KS5 / Further Education level
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Passion for education and learner development
- Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
