We are currently supporting a welcoming and ambitious Further Education setting in appointing a passionate and creative A Level Art & Design Lecturer to join their team on a 1-year fixed-term maternity cover contract. This is an exciting opportunity for an inspiring educator who can engage learners, nurture artistic development, and deliver high-quality teaching that supports students in achieving their full creative potential.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and inspiring A Level Art & Design lessons
- Support learners in developing practical, creative, and critical artistic skills
- Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with curriculum requirements
- Monitor learner progress and provide targeted academic support
- Create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment
- Encourage learner achievement, progression, and confidence
The Ideal Candidate
- Relevant degree within Art, Design, Fine Art, Visual Arts, or a related subject area
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent desirable)
- Experience teaching Art & Design at KS5 / A Level / Further Education level
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Passion for creativity, education, and learner development
- Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
